Field Engineering Manager

We seek a Field Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical stewardship in our Engineering & Technology Group. As the leader in the engineering department, the Field Engineering Manager will collaborate with Base Support, R&D and IT to supply technical and operational support for the survey operations.

Position Summary

The Field Engineering Manager is accountable for consistent delivery and operation of geophysical marine survey systems including towed and autonomous vehicles to support FSSI operations. This position requires an exceptionally strong degree of proven leadership and field experience to successfully manage the department, its people and the maintenance and technical aspects of the various subsea equipment. The candidate is expected to serve as an exemplary management role model to his/her peers and direct reports.

Responsibilities include support of the technical operations of subsea survey equipment and the development of preventive maintenance procedures. As a department head, training and professional development of the department technicians and engineers is also a responsibility.

My employment at FSSI has offered an array of projects—from subsea cable surveys in Australia to oil pipeline surveys in India. I have been fortunate to hold a variety of positions that have provided me with increasing technical knowledge along with the broad range management skills necessary to support various positions. I enjoy meeting and interacting with people, both internally and externally. I have been able to work independently and on teams in FSSI and other Fugro operating companies.
